As the work horses, Running Backs account for 15% of a Team’s Offense Score when calculating the roster grade.
So let’s break down how we create the Analytics score.
Athleticism (Up to 25 Total Points)
A Running Back’s athleticism can help carry the team with explosive plays and ability to accelerate through the hole for big gains. This is calculated based off a player’s RAS score.
23-25 Elite Athleticism
20-22.99 Great Athleticism
15-19.99 Good Athleticism
10-14.99 Average Athleticism
5-9.99 Below Average Athleticism
4.99- Poor Athleticism
Measurables (Up to 10 Total Points)
Not every successful Running Back has to be made in a lab, but having more height and weight can help break through tackles and reduce potential injury. This score is calculated based on the average of a player’s Height/Weight RAS composite.

Vision (Up to 10 Total Points)
This trait involves a Running Back’s ability to consistently diagnose the correct hole and extend gains by finding space utilizing efficiency and various analytical tools.

Rushing (Up to 10 Total Points)
A Running Back’s ability to use his athleticism and technique to generate rush yards over expected.

Running Backs are expected to contribute as versatile weapons out of the backfield and are graded on their effectiveness as a receiver including drop rate and yards after reception.

The best Running Backs don’t go down easily, and we use Average Yards After Contact Per Attempt as a barometer.

Carrying (Up to 5 Total Points)
It’s never good to put the ball on the ground, and this is based purely on a runner’s susceptibility to fumbles.

Explosiveness (Up to 5 Total Points)
Can a Running Back be a home run hitter when he hits the open field? Calculations are based off breakaway percentages.

Pass Protection (Up to 5 Total Points)
To be a true complete back and have value on third down, you have to be able to pick up blitzers and help in pass protection.

Durability (Up to 5 Total Points)
Based off a player’s injury score and availability.
4.0+ Elite Durability

Production (Up to 5 Total Points)
Forget everything else - what kind of numbers is the Running Back putting up? This is based off a player’s passing yards per game and touchdown production. In some rare cases, you will see this number surpass the 5.00 cap if they had a record-breaking season.
