Chase Bisontis

Chase Bisontis Player Progression

Summary

Chase Bisontis (21 years old) is a left guard prospect who has played his entire college career at Texas A&M with no transfers. In 2025, Bisontis started throughout the season at guard and allowed only 1 sack across 795 snaps, serving as a steady presence inside and a key contributor to the Aggies’ run game. His 2025 performance earned him All-SEC recognition, building on Freshman All-SEC honors earlier in his career as he quickly developed into a full-time starter along the interior. Bisontis earned SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2023-2024 for maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher and is widely viewed as a physical, team-first lineman whose toughness and “business first” practice habits dating back to his time at Don Bosco Prep School in NJ consistently draw praise from coaches, with no publicly reported significant off-field incidents. Out of 319 elite athletes invited to the 2026 Combine, Bisontis was one of only six prospects across all positions to participate in every single drill and testing event and teammates frequently point to his power at the point of attack and willingness to play through contact as indicators of his competitive makeup. From an injury standpoint, Bisontis has been largely durable throughout his career, with no major injuries causing extended absences, reinforcing his reliability as a multi-year starting guard.

Strengths

  • Ripper: When he comes off low and square, he can cave in the near shoulder of defensive tackles and create real vertical movement early in reps. You see reps where his power completely overwhelms defenders and he has real starting-caliber flashes.

  • Jolteon: Boasts extremely heavy, jolting hands and his initial strike can stop defenders’ momentum and put them into recovery mode instantly. Works well on combos when he can generate force with a partner and drive defenders off the ball.

  • Trash Compactor: Sturdy, powerful frame built to absorb contact and operate in tight spaces and doesn’t get knocked around easily when balanced. Against bull rushers who come directly through his chest, he can sit down and stall them without giving ground. When he gets leverage, he looks to torque and bury defenders rather than just sustain.

  • Phone Booth: More effective the tighter the space and thrives in confined interior exchanges. Not sure about his snapping ability, but skillset suggests he would also be able to translate well to Center.

Weaknesses

  • Wavy: He’ll win the first half-second, then rise up, allowing defenders to re-anchor and regain the leverage battle. Eliminating the crests and troughs and maintaining more stable body control is the next step in his progression.

  • Whiff-le Ball: When defenders counter or resist his initial strike, his hands widen and he loses control of the block (and risks holding). Will lean into blocks instead of sitting back into his hips, leading to balance losses and whiffs late.

  • Lateral Chops: 3-techniques who attack edges or cross his face early can beat him before he resets his base. Tends to rely on upper-body power and when his feet die, defenders can shed or re-leverage late in the rep.

  • Games Night: Can get caught reacting late to twists/stunts & games, especially when focused on winning initial contact. Once he loses first contact, he doesn’t consistently re-fit or recover positioning cleanly.

Outlook

Bisontis projects as a powerful, thick-built interior lineman with heavy hands, strong anchor ability, and the play strength to generate consistent movement in the run game, giving him early starting upside at guard. He fits best in gap/power and inside zone–heavy offensive schemes that allow him to fire off the ball, displace defenders, and work double teams rather than relying heavily on wide-range lateral movement. Bisontis is trending as a Day 2 prospect with a Round 2–3 projection in the 2026 NFL Draft, particularly valued for his physicality and interior presence and should prove to be a strong schematic fits for teams seeking physical interior linemen who can anchor the pocket and reinforce the run game.
